Education and Experience

M Coleen Fleming earned her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine –
Acupuncture from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Northwestern Health Sciences University in April 2008. This intensive three year program consisted of nearly 2,400 hours of education, 150 hours of clinical observation and 525 hours of practice. She was certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) September of 2008. This includes certification in Clean Needle Technique. After graduation Coleen moved to Northeast Wisconsin where she owned and operated Golden Tamarack Acupuncture LLC until moving to Colorado in October 2011.

Coleen’s training includes adjunctive therapies such as moxibustion, tui na, acupressure, cupping, auriculotherapy, electro stimulation, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations.

Coleen is a member of the American Acupuncture Association of Oriental Medicine. She is a registered acupuncturist in Colorado (applicant) a certified licensed acupuncturist in the state of Wisconsin and holds licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado and Michigan. None of these licenses, certificates or registrations have ever been suspended or revoked.

This clinic complies with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Colorado Department of Health, including the proper cleaning, sterilization, sanitation of acupuncture offices. Only single-use, disposable, factory-sterilized needles are utilized.

Patient’s Rights

-The patient is entitled to receive information about the methods of therapy, the techniques used, and the duration of therapy, if known.

-Golden Tamarack Acupuncture LLC is HIPAA compliant (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability). A copy of HIPAA guidelines is available on request.

-The patient may seek a second opinion from another healthcare professional or may terminate therapy at any time.

-In a professional relationship, sexual intimacy is never appropriate and should be reported to the Director of the Division of Registrations in the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
